Jem I've really enjoyed discovering Marble Dust. It is apparent that alot of effort and attention to detail has gone into it. Thoughtful, intelligent lyrics and sentiment....well played and constructed tunes and well sung. Impressive production too. Hills and Valleys began life way back in late 2011. After years of playing guitar, keyboards and singing in bands, it was a home-recording project to produce an album alone without limitations of needing to reproduce it live.
I had accumulated a few songs and half-baked ideas that had got no further than my head, acoustic guitar and minidisc recorder.

Over the next couple of years I transferred the songs from the aforementioned head onto my computer and eventually ended up with an album’s worth of songs which then went no further than my computers hard drive…..ahhh procrastination, we meet again.

Fast forward to 2020 and the upside of the lockdown was finding myself writing new songs. Then I remembered the old ones and thought it maybe a good idea to do something with those first.
So after a few weeks tweaking, tinkering and polishing I ‘think’ it’s finally ready to send out into the world.
